With the support of the PKN ORLEN Foundation, our Foundation has prepared an engaging day camp program for children. Facing pandemic-related challenges and travel restrictions, we aimed to provide local recreational activities for kids and teenagers.
"In collaboration with youth recreation experts, we have designed diverse programs featuring sports, outdoor adventure games, and a wide variety of entertainment. To promote local organizations, we invited the Prestige Sailing Academy and the Sopot Karate Club Random, along with Marcin Stefański, head coach of the Sopot basketball team. Every child under our care will have the opportunity to join a week-long camp packed with fun," says Foundation President Anna Cichowska.
The sailing camps, along with the karate and basketball sessions, offer an ideal environment to instill healthy sportsmanship in children while supporting their physical development and peer bonding. Highlights of the sailing, karate, and basketball programs include:
• Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), yacht sailing across the bay on an RS Venture, and catamaran sessions
• Karate and basketball training, soccer, go-karting, rope park activities, and movie outings
Through this joint initiative, the foundations aimed to counter the effects of the pandemic that disrupted daily activities. This meaningful effort to support children most in need earned the Honorary Patronage of the Mayors of Sopot and Gdynia.
