The My Space Love Story Foundation, supported by sponsor PKN ORLEN, launched a youth sailing academy initiative to address the challenges brought on by the pandemic. We created an exceptional program designed to instill a passion for sailing and build positive character traits in young participants. Beyond promoting personal growth and the joy of sports, our key focus areas included water safety, environmental stewardship, responsible leadership, teamwork, and service to others.
The program featured both practical and theoretical instruction with an engaging on-water itinerary. Complementing the sailing sessions were land-based activities, including facilitated discussions, workshops, and outdoor recreational games. Sessions ran twice a week throughout the entire summer season.
Our certified instruction team delivered immersive practical and theoretical training, sparking a lasting interest in athletic pursuits among the participants.
This joint initiative focused on supporting young people affected by pandemic restrictions, offering them a safe space for carefree recreation and healthy activity.
In late August, we concluded our summer sailing workshops.
It was a memorable experience for both our foundation team and the young sailors. Despite travel limitations, the summer felt like a true adventure.
Participants gained hands-on experience under the guidance of our skippers and coaches, applying theoretical concepts while sailing catamarans.
Over two months, the participants practiced teamwork, resilience, and dedication while enjoying outdoor recreation. We look forward to continuing this annual summer tradition.
