The conference "COVID-19—Does the Pandemic Affect the Human Psyche? How to Address the Invisible Consequences of the Pandemic?" took place on October 20, 2022.
The event was held in October to coincide with World Mental Health Day, which centered around the theme "Make mental health & well-being for all a global priority." In alignment with this goal, together with our strategic partner PKN ORLEN, we organized a conference designed to bring attention to the declining mental health of society in the post-pandemic era.
The conference was structured into five thematic modules presented by distinguished medical professionals and healthcare specialists:
• The COVID Reality from the Perspective of Healthcare Workers Treating SARS-CoV-2 Patients – Arkadiusz Błaszczyk, MD
• Emotional Responses and Psychological Consequences of the Pandemic – Iwona Wasilewko, PhD
• Youth During the Pandemic – Maria Rotkiel, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist and Psychologist
• COVID-19 and What's Next? The Role of Physical Therapy in Managing Post-COVID Patients – Mirosław Młyński, MSc in Physical Therapy
• Hyperbaric Chambers as an Over-the-Counter Remedy – Marta Kołakowska
Following each presentation, attendees were invited to participate in interactive panel discussions.
We extend our gratitude to all conference participants, our strategic partner PKN ORLEN, and event patrons Trójmiasto.pl and Hotel Sopot. Together, we helped break the taboo surrounding mental health disorders, provided community support for mental wellness, and promoted healthy lifestyles and preventive healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic.
