Behind us are the first sessions of our tennis day camp. What exactly are the ‘Holidays with a Racquet’ organised by the Foundation? It is a combination of sport, teamwork and fun on the tennis court. During the three weeks, about a hundred participants learn the ins and outs of tennis. Through theoretical classes, children learn what the rules of the game are, while practical classes enable them to turn their knowledge into practice. Tennis is a discipline that comprehensively develops psychomotor fitness. However, ‘Holidays with a racquet!’ are not only about tennis, but also team games such as floorball and football; field games, meetings with athletes, recreation and logic games that develop the ability to solve problems and cooperate in a group.
