With the upcoming sporting event of the TOKIO 2021 Olympic Games, the My Space Love Story Foundation is meeting social needs with another project.
This time we want to focus on sport and on supporting children and young people with disabilities and in need from different environments.
With the help of our strategic partner PKN ORLEN we are organising the project DREAM OLYMPICS - REACH FOR THE STARS 2021, which will take place between 26.07-6.08. Taking advantage of the hospitality of AWF (Academy of Physical Education) in Gdańsk, which is a co-organiser of the event, we are using sports facilities, which are an ideal place to create sports rivalry.
The project aims to disseminate positive social attitudes towards and knowledge about disabled people. We want to show that sport can also be an excellent way for these people to build social relations, get to know the world, make new friends and acquire hitherto unknown skills.
The motto of the Olympics is "The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win, but to take part in them, just as in life it is not important to triumph, but to struggle with the body", and this is the idea we would like to instil in all those taking part in our undertaking.
The event will be attended by children from Social Welfare Centres in Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot, from Voluntary Labour Corps and numerous volunteers. We are counting on good fun, smiles on children's faces, sports rivalry and full involvement of all participants.
The event will be held under the patronage of such institutions as the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, Mayor of Sopot, Mayor of Gdynia, AWFiS Gdańsk, Polish Olympic Committee, TVP3 GDAŃSK, Polish Paralympic Committee, BAUHAUS Sp. z.o.o., Modern Forms Sp. z.o.o., State Forests, Pomeranian Women, Hotel Sopot Sp. z.o.o. Sp. K., Corleonis Sp. z.o.o., Sopot Tourist Organisation, Voluntary Labour Corps and many others.
